Scholarship

The Nancy DeMuth Ruhle Scholarship recognizes outstanding dietetics students for their academic achievements and emerging leadership. If you know a deserving student who exemplifies these qualities, please encourage him/her to submit an application. Applications are available online in the fall and are due Feb 15.

Congratulations to the 2011 scholarship recipient, Amanda Picaretto.

Amanda comes highly recommended by her academic advisor, Michelle Bartell. She is currently enrolled in the MCC Nutrition transfer program and plans to continue her education to become a Registered Dietitian.
Amanda juggles parenting, schoolwork and volunteerism. She is a caring, dedicated and mature student who is interested in children's health and wellness. Her professional goals include clinical and community nutrition, education and research.
Amanda is a single parent who will use the scholarship money to advance her career in dietetics. She chooses not to work while she is in school because she is not willing to compromise either her parenting or her schoolwork.
