The Registered Dietitian will provide a focused evaluation and management of dietary concerns in cooperation with the staff of the Student Health and Counseling Center.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Meets with students individually and or in groups. Assesses, evaluates and educates on dietary concerns. Communicates with professional staff as necessary.
• Documents student’s nutritional concern and develops a plan of care for the individual’s needs and goals.
• Ensures follow up as necessary- may include email, in person or with assistance from Health and Counseling staff.
• Works closely with Prevention Outreach Services to provide program input and client services for specialized programming.
• May provide outreach services and programming to a variety of students, including athletes, first year students and residential hall students.
• Refers students at-risk to appropriate staff for medical evaluation as needed.
• Serves as a resource for staff in Hazen Center for Integrated Care at The College at Brockport.

Qualifications
 

Bachelor’s (B.S.) in Nutrition, with one-year of experience in Dietetics is preferred. Registration with the American Dietetic Association. NYS Licensure preferred.
This is a contract hourly, non-benefited position.

Qualifications
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics or Public Health Nutrition preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an appropriate health related field with at least six hours of approved nutrition coursework required. Strong assessment skills in health and general nutrition. Good communication skills and ability to relate well to persons of various ethnic and socio-economic groups.
