Asking for your ideas and thoughts about a new program at RIT’s Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition

Nutrition and exercise programs at RIT are housed in the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition.  We are expanding our offerings to include graduate studies, especially doctoral graduate programs that will appeal to RDNs and nutrition educators.  We’d like to get your input either through group or individual face-to-face meetings or phone calls at times and places convenient for you. Any meetings that occur at RIT will have refreshments and food.  All comments in both group and individual meetings will be noted anonymously and identities in individual group meetings can be kept confidential.

If you’ve ever even thought about a doctoral degree here is a chance to shape a program to fit you!  Interested in setting up a time to talk?  If so please email Barbara Lohse at balihst@rit.edu or call 585-475-6117.

NYSAND Awards Applications – Due 2/1/2018

Greetings Fellow GDA Members!

Krista and I as Immediate Past Co-Presidents would like to invite you to apply for one of the many available NYSAND awards below. We were well represented last year at the 100th NYSAND Anniversary Meeting in Lake Placid when Renee Ortolani was awarded Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year! The application process is pretty simple and you are ENCOURAGED to nominate yourself. The deadline for submission to NYSAND is February 1, 2018, so a ways off but not too soon to start thinking about it. Letters of support are also encouraged.

Please let Krista and I know if you are applying.
Best,
Theresa Harte and Krista Campbell
Past Co-Presidents
